Privacy Policy

• Your library, briefs, and account details are private to your account.
• We never sell your data, and we do not run advertising.
• We rely on a small set of service providers to run the product. They are listed below.
• Email support@onlyscience.ai to ask anything or to delete your data.

This policy explains what information OnlyScience ("we") collects when you use onlyscience.ai, how we use it, and the choices you have. OnlyScience is a personal research library for medical literature.

• Account details: your email address and sign-in credentials, managed by our authentication provider. If you sign in through a third-party provider, we receive your email address from them.
• Your library: the topics you search, the papers you process, the study cards in your library, and the briefs you set up.
• Profile details you choose to share, such as your role or research interests.
• Payment details: purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider and merchant of record. We receive order and subscription status. We never see or store your card number.
• Usage data: pages visited and features used, collected through product analytics, plus technical logs and error reports that help us fix problems.
• Email delivery data: whether emails we sent you were delivered, bounced, or were marked as spam, so we can stop sending to addresses that do not want our mail.
• Messages you send us: feedback submitted in the app and emails to support.

• To run the product: build and store your library, generate your weekly briefs, and keep your account working.
• To send email you asked for: weekly briefs and account emails. Every brief contains an unsubscribe link, and you can change email settings in the app.
• To improve OnlyScience: aggregated usage analytics show us what works and what breaks.
• To keep the service safe: rate limiting and abuse prevention.

We do not use your data to train AI models.

We use a small number of service providers to run OnlyScience. They process data only on our behalf:

• Supabase: database and sign-in.
• Vercel: web hosting.
• Railway: paper processing infrastructure.
• OpenRouter: AI processing of the published papers you choose. The text being processed comes from public research literature, not from your personal details.
• Resend: email delivery.
• Lemon Squeezy: payments and subscriptions.
• PostHog: product analytics.
• Sentry: error monitoring.

Searches you run are sent to PubMed, the public research index operated by the U.S. National Library of Medicine, to find matching papers.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. Your research topics and library are treated as private and are never published or shared with other users.

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your settings. Our analytics provider may also set cookies to understand product usage. We do not use advertising cookies.

Your data is kept while your account is active. To delete your account and its data, email support@onlyscience.ai from your account email address and we will take care of it.

Records of bounced emails and spam complaints may be kept after deletion so we do not email an address again by mistake.

No online service can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and per-account data isolation.

Our service providers may store and process data in countries other than yours, including the United States.

OnlyScience is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

When this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email.
