Privacy Policy

• Your library, briefs, and account details are private to your account.
• If you add health records, they are private to your account and used only to show them to you. We never sell them or use them for advertising.
• We never sell your data, and we do not run advertising.
• We rely on a small set of service providers to run the product. The kinds of provider are listed below.
• Email support@onlyscience.ai to ask anything or to delete your data.

This policy explains what information OnlyScience ("we") collects when you use onlyscience.ai, how we use it, and the choices you have. OnlyScience is a personal research library for medical literature. It also covers the health records you can add to your account on the Health page.

• Account details: your email address and sign-in credentials, managed by our authentication provider. If you sign in through a third-party provider, we receive your email address from them.
• Your library: the topics you search, the papers you process, the study cards in your library, and the briefs you set up.
• Health records you choose to add: documents you upload (lab reports, photos of results and other medical documents), the results read from them or entered by hand, the organs you place them on, your corrections, and the summaries written from them. A document can include details printed on it, such as your name, date of birth and the lab’s name.
• Profile details you choose to share, such as your role or research interests.
• Payment details: purchases are handled by our payment provider, which is the merchant of record. We receive order and subscription status. We never see or store your card number.
• Usage data: pages visited and features used, collected through product analytics, plus technical logs and error reports that help us fix problems.
• Email delivery data: whether emails we sent you were delivered, bounced, or were marked as spam, so we can stop sending to addresses that do not want our mail.
• Messages you send us: feedback submitted in the app and emails to support.

• To run the product: build and store your library, generate your weekly briefs, and keep your account working.
• To show you your health records: read the results from documents you upload, describe them organ by organ, and answer the questions you ask about them from published research. These descriptions are not medical advice.
• To send email you asked for: weekly briefs and account emails. Every brief contains an unsubscribe link, and you can change email settings in the app.
• To improve OnlyScience: aggregated usage analytics show us what works and what breaks.
• To keep the service safe: rate limiting and abuse prevention.

We do not use your data to train AI models.

We use a small number of service providers to run OnlyScience. They process data only on our behalf:

• Database, file storage (including the documents you upload) and sign-in.
• Web hosting.
• Infrastructure that processes the papers you analyze.
• AI processing of the published papers you choose and, if you add health records, of your documents and results, so that AI models can read your documents, describe your results and answer your questions about them. Your health records are sent only to AI providers that do not store them or use them for training.
• Email delivery.
• Payments and subscriptions.
• Product analytics.
• Error monitoring.

Searches you run, and the searches the assistant makes to answer your questions, are sent to public medical research databases to find matching papers. The searches are built from your question; your stored results are not added to them. When a stool test lists organisms, their names, not your results, are looked up in a public taxonomy database.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. Your research topics and library are treated as private and are never published or shared with other users. We do not share your health records with anyone except the providers above, who process them only to run the features you use.

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your settings. Our analytics provider may also set cookies to understand product usage. We do not use advertising cookies.

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account yourself from Settings, or email support@onlyscience.ai from your account email address and we will take care of it.

You can delete any document you uploaded at any time. Its file, the results read from it and the summaries written from your results are deleted with it.

Deletion has a 30 day grace period: your account is deactivated immediately and you can sign back in to restore it during that window. After 30 days your account and personal data, including any health data, are permanently deleted.

A few things are kept after deletion where the law allows or requires it: billing and transaction records, records of bounced emails and spam complaints so we do not email an address again by mistake, and extracted study data from public medical publications with everything linking it to you removed.

No online service can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and per-account data isolation. Documents you upload are kept in private storage that only your account can open, through links that expire after an hour.

Our service providers may store and process data in countries other than yours, including the United States.

OnlyScience is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

When this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email.
